Interview: Hendrik Bremer, Partner at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants and expert on public debt and financial systems

Dear Audience,

Currently, the whole world is looking at Europe, Greece and Spain in particular, trying to find a way out of the public debt crisis. The recent developments, especially in the financial sector, have turned the many developed nations upside down. When listening to the public debates in Europe and in the US, it seems that the impact of the public debt issue reaches far beyond the immediately affected countries. If it remains unchecked, it might impact the global financial balance on the long-term. Around the world, economists and politicians alike are trying to find and evaluate possible solutions, and yet it remains unclear what the „right answer“ is.

Today we talk to Hendrik Bremer, Partner at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants and expert on public debt and financial systems. Mr. Bremer conducted an assessment of the current political measures in place to tackle the public debt issue, both in developed and fast emerging nations. With regard to public debt policies, Mr. Bremer has been in intense exchange with experts across multiple nations over the last months, evaluating six fields of action and defining each nation’s individual room to maneuver within the global headwinds of the public debt crisis …
